Here at Indigo Valley we are very proud to support Compassion UK, who work tirelessly to support and deliver children from poverty in many of the coffee-growing regions of the world.
It can be hard to step outside our own lives of comfort and imagine what daily life must be like for some of these children. One of Compassion's latest projects - the Compassion Experience - addresses just that. The Compassion Experience is a unique journey into the lives of children in poverty that gives you the chance to step inside the lives of two Compassion-supported children, Shamin and Sameson.
Even better, the Compassion Experience can come to you, completely free! It's a mobile event that visits churches, schools and other venues across the UK. Visitors will be immersed in the reality of poverty faced by millions of children around the world, enabling them to experience another world without leaving theirs. Through the sights, sounds and events from the lives of two Compassion children, told from their own perspective, you can see first-hand the impact that one caring sponsor can make.
To find out more - or perhaps even invite the Compassion Experience to come and visit your church or community, take a look at their website (https://experience.compassionuk.org/) or contact Caroline Cameron: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Compassion Experience was launched at The Kings Arms, Bedford and opened by The Right Hon Alaistir Burt.
58 Compassion children found sponsors at the opening event in Bedford.
