Until recently, most of us were probably unaware that our the majority of our take away coffee cups end up in landfill. After all, with their cardboard look and feel, they must be recyclable, right? Wrong! Sadly the combination of cardboard and plastic - both of which are recyclable independently - cannot be recycled through any normal public waste collection services. Consequently, they are diverted to incineration or landfill. That's 7 million cups a day - 10,000 every two minutes.

Here at Indigo Valley we take our environmental responsibility very seriously. Consequently, we've tracked down Vegware - the only completely compostable packaging company operating globally. Vegware's award winning catering disposables are low carbon, made from renewable or recycled materials and all can be recycled along with food waste.

We now stock their compostable cups and lids, available to order from our website. Made with sustainably sourced paper, simply dispose of them along with your food waste and they will turn to compost in under 12 weeks.
